Zonbu Linux
Zonbu Linux
The Zonbu is a "green" PC that is very compact, noiseless, and runs a custom Linux distribution. For an all-in-one mom & pop kind of package, the Zonbu really impressed Chris.

If you've been wanting to try Linux but didn't want to wipe our your current Windows installation or are brand new to the Linux world, this video will introduce you to one of the best Linux Distros out there.
Commentary
Ubuntu is an excellent desktop replacement for people that want to learn more about linux. To be honest though, It's not a very good teacher, and it's honestly too easy. It's much too automated for my tastes. If you're going to use an APT/Synaptic distro, use Debian; Awesome memory management and a rock solid kernel. If you prefer compiling from source, and setting up linux YOUR way, try out Gentoo or Slackware. Also, most debian ( ˈdɛbiən ) users would kill you for your pronunciation,
I'm a IT spec, and I love and use Ubuntu. I would never go with any other distro, or OS for that matter. Everything I once had on Windows, I have running on Linux now, and I've replaced Windows with it. I've had to work on computers and servers running a variety OS's (Win32 & DOS, NetWare, SmoothWall, etc.), & Linux is the most flexible and malleable. I would never veer away from Linux. Fuck Windows.
I am also a newbie as of 4 months ago and agree after all my trials that Ubuntu was by far easiest to install and use coming from a Windows world. Desktop effects is amazing but only if you have a fast enough graphics card! Foe any newbie I strongly suggest reading afew hours in the ubuntu community forum for answers to questions you'll have. One more thing, its best to have your linux computer hooked up to internet as your learning; programs fro ubuntu are installed free via the net.

This video is me using an operating system called "Ubuntu" on my computer. You can see that it is obviously better than Microsoft Windows, and the best part is that, IT'S FREE.

This is a look on why Linux has an advantage over Windows, WITHOUT using Beryl or Compiz as attractive eye candy. The one website I meant to give at the end is www.distrowatch.org and also take a look at www.whylinuxisbetter.net
