A review of the feature-packed Pinguy OS 11.04. Another Ubuntu derivative that is sticking with Gnome 2.32 to provide a fully-functional and feature rich desktop experience. It's ideal for desktop powerhouse, as minimal tweaking is required. All needs that you could possibly have are covered here, and an impressive array of tools/utilities abound for a reasonable 1.5 - 1.7 GB download depending on architecture. Definitely rivals Mac OS X on looks, functionality, and usability out of the box.
Resource intensive, but ready for anything.

An in-depth look at Fedora 15 Lovelock, sporting the new stable GNOME 3 desktop and GNOME Shell. Fedora is a well supported distribution, and the fusion of GNOME Shell and Fedora's base creates an innovative, modern and polished desktop for the Linux enthusiast and power user. Definitely a great peek into the future of desktop Linux and it's a substantially widget base than GNOME and GTK 2.x.
Very polished, and arguably much better (think finished) than Unity.

This is a little video I knocked up of LinpusLinuxLite 9.4 which I was testing out in VirtualBox for its viability to install on my EeePC.
Sorry about the jumps in resolution, not my fault, blame Linpus.
The guys at Linpus appear to have changed the download links on their site and have also rebranded Linpus Linux Lite. Here are some direct download links:

Bodhi Linux v0.1.6 Rc2 Distro Review
Bodhi Linux v0.1.6 Rc2 is a nice looking minimalistic distro which uses Enlightenment desktop environment. Instead cramming your system full of unnecessary programs, Bodhi provides you with just Firefox 4 beta 11 and Synaptic.
You can select the applications you want easily through Synaptic package manager.
Bodhi have supplied a nice easy to use Setup Wizard to give easy customisation of the Enlightenment desktop, allowing you to choose from: Basic, Compiz enabled, Laptop, or Netbook styles. Theres also some nice looking wallpapers/themes supplied.
Enlightenment has very low system requirements making this Distro ideal for older lower spec machines. However its only available in 32bit version, which makes in unsuitable for higher spec 64bit machines.
Its based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
